My September Top 5

At the end of every month, I am going to be sharing my top five favorite products from the month. I’m a little late, but here are my top five from September.

  1. Kettle and Fire Chicken Bone Broth

The month of September ended up being super hectic! At the begin of the month, I was pretty sick with an ear infection, tonsillitis, and bronchitis (all at the same time). It was a special kind of misery.

During those two weeks of being sick, bone broth was my best friend. It really soothed my throat to sip on. I also made chicken zoodle soup with it. There are a bunch of different bone broths on the market, but my favorite is Kettle and Fire bone broth. It is packed with 10 grams of protein and is an excellent source of collagen.

  1. WildWay Grain Free Granola

After doing my first Whole30 last January, I discovered that gluten causes me to have skin irritation. Essentially I get tiny reddish bumps on my arms and sometimes my face. As a kid, I often had this reaction on cheeks never knew what it was from. While I’m not gluten-free, I do try to limit the amount of gluten that I eat. WildWay grain-free granola is my current obsession. I eat it with yogurt, put it on my smoothie bowls, or eat it out of the bag as a snack. I have tried every flavor and love them all. I genuinely LOVE this stuff! It is not crunchy like most granola, which threw me off at first. The ingredients are super clean and paleo friendly. Stay tuned, because this week they will be making a special announcement!

  1. Siggi’s Yogurt

Typically, dairy really upsets my stomach. It makes me feel really bloated and gives me stomach pains. It hasn’t always been like that. My dairy intolerance started my senior year of college. I used to eat yogurt like it was my job, so you can imagine how disappointed I was that I couldn’t eat it anymore without experiencing pain. I’ve tried many dairy-free yogurts, and there are not many out there that I like. I heard a lot of people talking about Siggi’s and how much they loved it, so despite my dairy intolerance, I gave it a try. This is the only dairy yogurt that does not upset my stomach (PRAISE). I think it is because it is not heavily processed like most yogurts. They are committed to using clean, fresh ingredients and it has low sugar content. On mornings when I didn’t prepare anything for breakfast, I usually grab a Siggi’s yogurt and sprinkle some WildWay granola on top.

  1. Perfect bars

If you have never had a perfect bar, you are seriously missing out! I have made it my goal to try every flavor. My top three favorite flavors are Dark Chocolate Chip Peanut butter, Pumpkin Pie, and Cranberry Crunch. I have only tried one that I don’t like, and that’s the Almond Butter bar. I usually have half a bar at a time because I find them to be pretty filling. However, there are times when I’ll grab one on-the-go for breakfast.

  1. MRM chocolate mocha protein powder

For most of the month, I made smoothies for breakfast. They are easy to make ahead and grab and go in the morning. I am not the type of person who can eat the same thing for breakfast every single day because I get bored with it. That’s what I love about smoothies – I can change up what I put in my smoothie day-to-day. I always make sure that my smoothies have protein in them. Unfortunately, a lot of protein powders do not have “clean” ingredients. MRM, however, is committed to clean, healthy ingredients in their protein powders. I have used the chocolate mocha protein powder in baking recipes, smoothies, and blended coffee drinks. You can buy it from their website or on Amazon.
